It has been a strong few weeks for Forensic Records as Dave Walker and Fordal’s ‘Quantum Verse’ EP picks up impressive coverage across respected international outlets.
The release marks another standout moment for the long-running label, with attention from platforms known for breaking quality underground music. From premieres to in-depth studio features, the rollout shows how far the Forensic sound continues to reach.
SoundCloud tastemaker CONNECT premiered the B-side ‘Hyperlight’, calling it “pure 4 a.m. ammunition”. It is a hypnotic, late-night cut packed with tight percussion and razor sharp basslines. The track gained early traction across the global DJ community, helping push the EP into new ears.
At the same time, Electronic Groove premiered the title track ‘Quantum Verse’, describing it as “a deep, cinematic journey through evolving pads, sweeping melodies and pulsing low-end energy.” Their feature highlighted the chemistry between the pair and the polished, emotive sound that defines Forensic’s current output.
The standout coverage came from Magnetic Magazine, which ran an extensive How It Was Made feature exploring the creative process behind the EP. Dave and Fordal broke down their workflow, mentioning the Dawesome Myth synth for bell-like tones, the Moog Sub 37 for groovy stabs and the Elektron Digitone II for textured percussion.
They also revealed that the project caught John Digweed’s attention early on, earning a premiere on his legendary Transitions show. That kind of endorsement reinforces the record’s impact within the progressive house community.
For our agency, this kind of coverage shows the value of sustained, story-driven promotion. It demonstrates how thoughtful positioning can extend beyond a release day push and create meaningful recognition from global platforms. Seeing Dave Walker, Fordal and Forensic Records featured across Magnetic Magazine, Electronic Groove and CONNECT is a proud moment and proof of how powerful well-planned PR can be.
